Background
Pfizer is a world leader in pharmaceuticals and health care products
with worldwide revenues of $11.3 billion in 1996. Pfizer’s goal
is to be the leading pharmaceutical company within the next five
years. In accomplishing this goal, Pfizer needed a clear overall
"picture" of the development plans for its new products.
