Since release 5.2 (our current release is 5.7), the AMS suite of products have supported Python, the open source, cross platform scripting language. AMS have since developed many python scripts for specific client implementations of the AMS REALTIME solution. These have added extra functionality to greatly enhance their use of AMS REALTIME software. This experience has allowed us to develop further scripts which we strongly believe will add extra benefit to your use of the AMS products. The scripts have been developed as 'off-the-shelf' items, allowing for easy installation and configuration by the user. - Hasbro UK Ltd is the UK and Europe's number one Company for toys & games. The AMS REALTIME resource management (RTR) component has recently been integrated with their existing Microsoft Project planning tool, providing project managers and team members with the information they require to complete their jobs on schedule and to budget. AMS REALTIME Software is used to help manage Hasbro's IT development. The company's IT team is spread across Europe, and projects can often involve people from more than one country. Therefore tracking projects and the internal/external resources assigned to each project is essential. I didn't know you could do that!

We've gathered a list of some useful features of AMS REALTIME Projects that you may not know about. For example: Entering repetitive values - Holding down the 'Alt' key and clicking in a field in the split window or table mode of AMS REALTIME Projects (RTP), or in any of the cells in an AMS REALTIME Resources (RTR) table, will produce a popup of all the unique values that have already been entered for previous records in that field. Selecting one of these values will populate the field for that record with the selected value from the pop-up list. Quick Find/Go To - Holding down 'Ctrl' & 'Shift' keys simultaneously and clicking in the split window or table mode of RTP, or in any of the cells in an RTR table, will produce a popup of all the unique values that are found in that field. Selecting one of these values from the resultant pick list will take you directly to the first record with that value. RTP Only - Consistent formatting of Numeric values - If you set the ini setting INTLTHOUSAND to the same character as INTLDECIMAL value, the thousand separators for all numeric and calculated numeric fields in RTP will be turned off.
