Linux One Page Overview 1. There are seven modes in AMS REALTIME Projects
Use the Mode menu item to change between modes 2. Most graphical objects on the Gantt chart and in the resource pane can be manipulated with the mouse. Experiment by clicking and dragging everything you can see. 3. Online help is available. See the tutorial for quick getting started information and the Help contents for more detailed explanations. 4. You can put more than one activity on a single line; useful for keeping milestones at the top of the Gantt chart. 5. Different working calendar can be assigned to different activities.
Activities 1. To create an activity, place the mouse cursor on the Gantt chart area at the desired date and double click. 2. To give the activity a description, click once to select it and simply type the description. 3. To create multiple activities in one hit, click and drag the cursor across the Gantt chart area and let go. 4. To adjust activities, place the cursor over the activity and look out for tool tips that tell you what to do. 5. Double click on the patterned body of an activity to see the Activity Information dialog. Resources 1. To add a resource, double click on the next blank cell in the resource list to get the Resource Info dialog. 2. To allocate a resource to an activity, select the activity (click on it once) and click the Resource Allocation button to the left of the resource. 3. Click once on resource name to see it's profile in the resource pane. 4. Resource allocations can be manipulated with the mouse cursor in the resource pane area. 5. Click on the first button 'Conflict' to see a list of other views of resource information. Table Area 1. You can add columns to the table by scrolling to the right and clicking on the gray area behind the column cells. A list of all available fields appears except those that are already open. 2.
